Hello hello;
The weathers turned a bit colder this week, not too bad but it's got a weird chill to the wind. Me, I like being cold preferably over being hot, and it's weird here because I get cold easier than I do in Canadaland. So of course the friend people find that funny :P
Anyway, last night was a little campout trip for Arthur's friend Chloe's birthday. No one told me that we were actually camping in the "wilderness"... I thought we were having a movie or swimming at her house and sleeping in the back yard. Where we stayed was like a small riverside campground (I think the signs actually said no fires, swimming, or camping though...) and there was somewhat of a beach. (With traces of dog remains... so we kept our shoes on there.)
French people aren't very good at making fires I must say... this might be a rare moment where I appreciate having been in Air Cadets. Because: They seemed to think green leaves and little twigs will keep a nice toasty fire burning through the night. What it did do was make plenty of smoke. Eventually they figured it out with some prodding.
There were 12 of us altogether (people from school), and we had 4 tents. (Thankfully not in the direction of the smoke) We took the train from Tours to Chinon, which Antione and Vincent missed... they took the next.
For supper we ate pizza and chicken which we wrapped in tinfoil and burnt/grilled over the fire. We didn't go swimming because the water was pretty cold. The weather itself was fine, windy but it didn't rain. The tent Arthur and I got was the kind that you unwrap and throw it and it expands. Pretty cool actually (but even Arthur made it complicated.... meh).
We didn't do too much all exciting... lots of yelling which we could get away with because across the driveway thingy was a field with cows, but I'm sure they liked it. :P
We watched Battle Royale on the mini dvd player until the batteries died - not that we missed much. The movie is just bloodshed... stupid movie.
Anyways... sleeping was alright... cold and my jacket as a pillow, and with sticks under the tent digging into my ribs, I'm proud to say I survived... somewhat. Slept from 2 to 9 so not that bad... woke a few times but meh. Tonight I'm watching the Sens take down the Devils so I'll be up til at least 4am. Keep me company on MSN.
Oh, and join my Facebook group :D 1,300 people in 3 days! It's a thing for people to not pump gas on May 15th... if enough people don't it might do something. It's like democracy - doesn't work unless enough people vote/do it. But whatever I don't actually care if it works or not - I'm not even in the country to be there May 15th hah.
Anyways, /quit
